I accept this issue too. I thought information technology was because of that iCloud private relay set upwards only even after I disabled it my images are still missing.

I could see e-mail images without issues in 15.0, 15.0.i, 15.0.2 and now on 15.1. You should go to Settings-->Postal service-->Privacy Protection and plow off "Protect Mail Activity".

Because companies don't design features for individual users like you, they pattern it for the vast bulk. And for the vast bulk, information technology is working. If information technology is non working just for y'all and a handful of people, submit feedback to Apple. You tin type any manner you want, every bit I won't be reading information technology anymore.

Well there is a lot of flaky crap in iOS xv, so it is could be a bug if there isn't an obvious pick set incorrectly. I'yard running iOS 15.0.2 on my iPhone XR and here is a screen capture after I sent two photos to myself. One was viewable equally soon as I opened the email, the other had to be tapped to load but did load. I am of course on my own VIP listing and I take the protect Mail Activeness choice turned OFF. I practice have Block All Remote Content set to ON though.
Is the email from a known contact? Is information technology from an unknown contact or i that is non in the VIP listing?

"exercise have Block All Remote Content ready to ON though." Where did you find this?

Settings —> Mail —> Privacy Protection —> Block All Remote Content option.
I accept turned off everything under Privacy Protection. That gave me dorsum email images. So Privacy Protection is a useless addition by Apple, unless you never want to see images in Apple Mail on an iPhone.
